<pre>I dug a little bit further. The culprit is the set of three images with white
background in the middle. I have cut-and-paste them in a graphic program,
exported as jpg, and inserted the exported version in LO. Problem solved.
I have several other slides with the same problem. They were produced with
powerpoint. I got the file, saved as ODP. I am doing the same trick for all the
figures.
I hope this may be helpful for a bug hunting...</pre>
