Indeed this is very weird. When I originally reported the bug, I posted a video and there you can see that I do click first and then try to select cells. And this happened multiple times on multiple files. That's why I recorded it and filed a bug. But after some time the bug simply disappeared. Even when I use the version where the bug first appeared, I can't reproduce it any more.
