I think I found the "trick" - it's not about the picture itself.
This is the way how I can trigger it:
* insert picture
* right click on the picture > Wrap > Wrap Through
* right click on the picture > Wrap > Edit Contour... > "draw" circle and
accept, close dialog
* save document
* close document
* open docuemt again
Result: contour will be lost
The "magic" button that triggers the issue is "Wrap Through".
Can you recheck if this happens in your installation as well?</pre>
