<pre>No, the best implementation to correct this usability deficit would be to
automatically search for both the non- and auto-corrected forms when the search
string contains commonly-used characters such as ' " ellipsis etc. The search
functionality should be smart enough to recognize that the search string
contains character(s) that may have been auto-corrected / substituted, and
either a) automatically search for all possible strings based upon
autocorrection / no correction, or provide an checkbox to specify to the search
functionality that autocorrected variants are to be included. Also, there
should be a way to easily specify a wildcard character (e.g., "?" and "*",
which are common OS conventions) to match any underlying text, with a
corresponding checkbox to indicate that a wildcard search is intended.</pre>
