Wow that is kind of a misstatement of fact. There is almost no difference in control width layout between the 6.4 and 7.0 releases. Otherwise users on Linux are pretty much unaffected by UI scaling, and those on Windows are only affected when they have scaled their UI above about 150%. If you do not like the Sidebar deck showing, collapse it to the Tab bar or use the 'Hide'/'Show' thumbs to fully collapse--or close the Sidebar completely. Perhaps use one of the MUFFIN layouts--the 'Single Contextual' with the Sidbar collapsed is rather functions.
