        <pre>LibreOffice: 7.0.4~rc2-1

Users reported slow startup time of 15 seconds of LibreOffice Writer on a
modern system with AMD Ryzen 3 2200G, 16 GB RAM and SSD running Debian
sid/unstable.

The LinuxQuestions.org post *[SOLVED] LibreOffice Slow to Launch * [1]
referenced the solution described in article *LibreOffice Slow to Launch* [2],
and indeed uninstalling the font package *fonts-noto-extra* with an install
size of 269 MB reduced the startup time to around four seconds (which is still
longer than the OS takes to start).

Could the font parsing be taken out of the startup path?
