<pre>It sounds good to me too.
The only potential problem I see is a potential UX one: might direct formatting
make a search fail, when a user who doesn't understand DF would expect it to
succeed?
Will the search have a way to find a match based on what the user sees, rather
than on some part of Writer's internal representation? If so, that potential
issue might be minimised.
