Description:
If the service Avahi is absent or disabled, LibreOffice can take up 30 seconds
or more to open a document, independently on its size/complexity.
Steps to Reproduce:
1.stop the avahi service
2.open an already saved document
3.wait...
Actual Results:
It takes a lot to open a document...
Expected Results:
It should see that there is no avahi service running and do not timeout for it!
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: Yes
Additional Info:
I remember that this problem was present also with previously versions of
LibreOffice (6.* and 5.*) but I do not remember exactly the version number.
I imagine that this problem starts very earlier since the avahi adoption.
Easy workaround: if you have to disable avahi and do not want this behaviour,
just disable ipv4 and ipv6 support on the avahi config and restart avahi.
Avahi will be disabled but LibreOffice will see it as working, and everybody is
happy!
