Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open <span class=""><a href="http://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=164857" name="attach_164857" title="Reduced Example file">attachment 164857</a> <a href="http://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=164857&action=edit" title="Reduced Example file">[details]</a></span> (nasty file, animating stuff, if it renders)
2. expand a menu and hoover over items.. notice the lag.. and CPU increase.. so
menu's directly tied to canvas content; doesn't seem ideal
3. Open Help -> About again delay painting
Actual Results:
Lag when hoovering over items
Expected Results:
Not so
Reproducible: Always
