bug.

dBase is not MDB.

An MDB file extension is an Access database, not a dBase database.

LibreOffice supports either opening a dBase3 file, or an Access MDB (under
certain conditions), but not a dBase file that is somehow pretending to be an
Access file.


If you want to use a MDB file as the datasource, you need the appropriate
Microsoft driver and setup.

>From the description you have provided, and the error message, it sounds like
you are trying to set up a connection to a Microsoft Access file having a MDB
file extension.

We would also need to know which version of Access was used to produce the
Access file.
