This problem was triaged earlier today, and there is already a fix for it. I
don't know why not more iser have encountered the problem, perhaps those who
have upgraded to 7.0 while it was still a "fresh" release, haven't used data
validation much.
I'm afraid I can't really answer the deep technical details, possibly after the
continuous doubling in the value, it's too much to handle after a while.
Looking at the ODF specs, this is also related to the spaces, and denotes the
number of spaces a <text:s> element represents:
