<pre>Description:
1) In LibreOffice Writer, while editing an .odt file, select "Save As" from the
"File" menu.
2) In the "Save As" dialog window, use the mouse cursor to select an existing
.odt file from the browser pane above the "File name:" field. The goal is to
create a new file from a template (like an invoice) with a new number and
keywords at the end of the file name.
2) In the same window, use the mouse cursor to click-drag to select a portion
of the text in the "File name:" field, through the end of the existing file
name to be altered.
HERE'S THE PROBLEM:
3) After click-dragging to select the text, instead of selection being retained
so that user can type to overwrite the selection (expected behavior), the
selection is lost and the text input cursor moves to the beginning of the "File
name:" field. If user types at this moment, this will displace the existing
text at the beginning of the file name instead of overwriting the selection as
expected. For repetitive file creation processes, this is annoying and
unexpected, and often results in having to re-edit the file name.
This behavior does not happen 100% of the time. I'm not sure what else I might
be doing to cause it, but thought I'd ask.
Steps to Reproduce:

name to be altered.
Actual Results:

Expected Results:
The selected portion of the filename should remain selected until the user
clicks somewhere on screen or enters text via the keyboard.
