Problem recently discovered, may be after an update: LO creates Letter-sized
documents by default, language being on default option (french France).
Problem solved by choosing explicitly french France in the drop-down list.
Repeatable.
Note that my really-A4 printer was set to Letter at the same time, but
ressetting to A4 did not change the default behavior in LO (first thing I
tried).</pre>
