In Windows OS, your keyboard seems to be locked as soon as you click on Record Macro. To start a macro (after you clicked on Record) you must click on a command Icon in the Edit Tool Bar, such as Cut, Paste, Copy, etc. or click on (point to) a cell. You will be able to record the macro. (However, if you clicked on a cell, instead of an Icon, the macro will only aplly to that cell).
