<pre>Description:
When I add a word to the dictionary (right-click > Add to Dictionary), Writer
makes me choose between my custom dictionary and 'standard.dic'. I want to add
all new items to my custom dictionary because 1) I do not understand the use of
a 'standard.dic' which is of no language ("lang: <none>") and 2) because I lose
time by the additional mouse operation. So I go to Tools > Options > Language
Settings > Writing Aids > User-defined Dictionaries. While selecting my custom
dictionary, I deselect 'standard [All]' and close the dialog with OK. Next time
I right-click on an unknown word, the choice between the custom and the
standard dictionaries pops up again. I now again open the options and find the
'standard [All]' selected. Result: 1) While it ought to be possible to deselect
the 'standard.dic' for building one's custom dictionary, this is actually
impossible. 2) Writer misleads and frustrates the user by the behavior
described.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Tools > Options > Language Settings > Writing Aids > User-defined
Dictionaries
2. Deselect 'standard [All]', OK.
Actual Results:
1. In the document, click on an unknown word: standard.dic is offered.
2. Tools > Options > Language Settings > Writing Aids > User-defined
Dictionaries: 'standard [All]' is selected.
Expected Results:
Standard.dic should remain deselected and should not be offered for storing a
new word.
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: Yes
Additional Info:
I realize I could, in the standard.dic, change the line 'lang: <none>' to
'lang: de-DE and then use it as my custom dictionary. However, I need a custom
dictionary for each language I am using; there is no "standard" here.</pre>
