Unfortunately, the powers-that-be seem to be unable or unwilling to separate the *two* issues in this bug report, and they seem to be more interested in the Start Center issue than the window-attributes issue that you commented on. I tried twice last year to "help" with the window-attributes issue (see comment 44 and <a href="show_bug.cgi?id=75644#c46">comment 46</a>), but got nowhere.
