<pre>Pretty sure that all new Window open with the same size after you restart the
application. For some reason (maybe explained in <a class="bz_bug_link

href="show_bug.cgi?id=75644#c10">bug 75644 comment 10</a>) the
decision was made to follow the start center - and go full screen otherwise.
The better - no: the only reasonable approach is to take the OS/DE default.
Another issue with the non-default, maximized window is reported in <a class="bz_bug_link

Back to topic: new documents do inherit the start screen size but you have to
give it a chance to store the value first. =>NAB
(And I wouldn't touch these function; it becomes rather worse and module window
change unintentionally every time you resize the start center.)</pre>
