<pre>I agree the behavior is unpleasant. On the other hand: you see it happening
right before your face (sorry I have no accessibility expertise) so easy to
guess how to fix it.
I'm sure there are more places with frames/objects, where the user needs to
learn how to access (text) content most easily.
So if a change would be possible (e.g. in text area, ignore snapping the cursor
to the frame) I would not object. So that would make this to a RFE.
Note: In any case F2 always(?) activates content of a selected object.
Sometimes/also starting to type does.</pre>
