When proposing PT I only looked at perspective/facet of rounding (not in depth
review of all pro's and cons). Every measure has own advantage/disadvantage.
I'm able to work with points too, but that probably says something about the
depth of my Calc usage. I would really annoyed when wanting a cell to be say
exactly 2 cm, and having the input only allowing points.
FWIW: Don't take my proposals as well analyzed.. Only proposing something -
brainstorming - to figure out some alternative.
Having PT cell size visible somewhere would improve compatibility with
MSO/Excel, I guess? I speculate Calc is currently converting the cell size to
PT on xls xlxs export?
Note: I would go for the wait and see approach. Will people start report they 4
digit stuff or not. It might end up being a trivial non-issue :-). The reason I
reported this was because the change from 2 digits to 4; which was kind of
surprising to see.</pre>
