I went off and started working on this before seeing your message.
So, to bring you up-to-date with what I have done ...

(*) changed tag in that bug from "experimental enabled" to
    "experimentalEnabled":
    <https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=43869#c26>

(*) added whiteboard tags "experimentalEnabled" and
    "experimentalDisabled" to wiki page "BugReport Details"

( In the wiki page, I added "experimentalDisabled" to make a pretty,
symmetric-looking pair of tags.  I guess it would mean something like
... "we have a fix for this bug, but the fix may never be implemented,
so the bug is not *really* fixed". )
