and Ubuntu users can find a packaged version for Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy at:

 https://launchpad.net/~libreoffice/+archive/libreoffice-prereleases

and test it with a simple:

 sudo add-apt-repository ppa:libreoffice/libreoffice-prereleases
 sudo apt-get update
 sudo apt-get install libreoffice
