I would like to remind everybody that increasing version number by 1.0 (at
least under Windows) also has implications for the installation folder and
therefore for installed extensions.

At the time (April 2013) it seemed that 5.0 was 3 to 4 years away... but now
it's just around the corner (having an x64 Windows build seems to me like a
valid reason for the 1.0 jump!).
