The request makes sense as most users might want to keep the style as defined in the master slide - and need therefore the Paste Special: Unformatted Text command. The OLE on simply ctrl+V wasn't a topic in the first place. 
I see four +1 on the ticket (plus your comment here) and two -1. That's why I accepted the request (which means no further input from UX needed).
