The status bar in Draw is unsuitable, because it is already so full with
the drawing information (which I don't want to miss), that there is not
space enough for an additional word.

I suggest, that if a tool is in "sticky" mode, then a second click on
the tool icon will finish this mode. Clicking a second time to switch
something off is a often used pattern.

I do not want a changed behavior in Draw/Calc. I very often need
different tools one after the other and going to "sticky" mode with a
single click would result in an additional click to leave "sticky" for me.

I do not really understand your suggestions:

Why would "mode change via single click" make Draw to a "real" drawing
application? It is a "real" drawing application, but a lot of people do
not know what features already exist in Draw. And the behavior is
already inconstant between Writer/Calc and Draw/Impress.

Why "introducing a 'duplicate object' feature"? Besides simple copy and
paste, you can drag holding down Ctrl-key or you can use
Edit->Duplicate. No need for another "duplicate feature".

Kind regards
Regina
