well if you want it just re-written, I have at least 50% of the work already
done;) So I'll take it. the only thing I'm currently lacking is icons and a
couple of the functions which I think will be easy enough to add. 

So I'm still having some issues with the icons - weird thing is when I
installed the extension icons came up on the toolbar I added - so maybe the
extension adds icons?
