That catalog is for VCL objects that must be mapped into GTK objects. I
think you must run make in the extras/ if you add something to it. But
AFAIK you don't need to touch it.

I ended up doing a symlink from
/usr/shar/glade/cataglog/libreoffice-catalog.xml

to

instdir/share/glade/libreoffice-catalog.xml

and have glade to recongnize all VCL objects from the libreoffice-catalog.
