I see some software uses purple highlights, like Firefox's Highlight All
feature (on Windows it is #EF0FFF). Does that particular colour have any
advantages over blue?
I guess the one obvious one is that it is not the default selection colour on
most systems, so it should stand out more. But are there other reasons?
