For me it would depend on the specific circumstances (mostly probably at the
end of a sentence Base At Bottom, within a sentence Base At Top, for a bulleted
list Base in Middle).
Therefore, I am also a little bit undecided, but probably I would also prefer
Base At Top as a standard.

@Jay and Cor: I experienced in this respect another thing.  I can't see which
alignment is used for the image.  For the function ANCHOR I can see it with the
dot, but for ALIGNMENT I can't see it.  Therefore, I think the used alignment
should be highlighted in any way.
