Thanks Ibrahim and Adolfo for pointing out that Word has it as an option.

Most people can identify that caps lock is on when they type, as all the
letters would be in capital letters.

If it possible to allow the customization of the statusbar, like in Word, so
that users who want it added can enable it, that seems like a good thing.
