Knowing the handles a bit. And just gave an extra try..

Advantage is that you can change selection also at the start point.
Which is not possible by keyboard navigation. Which I usually use - by the way.
;)
Maybe only show when making selection by mouse.. 
Anyway, on mobile devices definitely important.
