Drawings may be done for different purposes that make an individual grid
necessary. Saving the grid settings also means to enter them - at the page
properties dialog perhaps - and to have a default when a new document is
created. So you would always start with 0.5cm, as long drawings do not have a
page style.

Additionally to the grid settings it would be interesting to attach the scale
values to the document (tdf#59068).
