Great illustration; I should have done something like that in the first place.
Be aware that the differences illustrated can vary from subtle to glaring
depending on the particular font and point sizes used.

But, yes - that's indeed the problem I was describing.

A word of caution, though, if you're about to grab this bug to work on: The
more I've looked into this, the more I get the distinct feeling that it might
actually be a way more frustrating thing to address than it appears on the
surface. So grab plenty of your favorite snacks and beverages before diving
in!!
