BundesGit is an extension and that's how I would see any implementation- not to
the core because out-of-scope. So in my opinion it's a WF.

But we have a fairly good interface to access remote files with several types
of connections. Maybe it's even possible to connect out of the box via ssh.
Samuel, what's your take?
