as it's very easy to switch now from one layout to another, I would recommand
to define an distraction-free layout and solve it that way.

for Notebookbar it's not that usefull, cause have only the tabbs available help
nobody. If you prefer to use an distraction-free mode (cause you write an assay
and no master theses) than LibO can offer this with an e.g. menubar only
layout.
