We don't change the color that has been set in the color picker and when you
change object 1 to color X you can repeat this for all other objects.
Furthermore the color picker has a 'recently used' section where you are able
to pick one. And finally the direct formatting is not what we should support
too much since using styles is much more sustainable.
What I would support is a color picker known from raster graphic tools such as
GIMP. You click on some point and it picks the color from that pixel. This
function could go into the "Pick a color" dialog that opens on "Custom
color...".
But that's another topic.
