What is the reason to see Default when filtering to only used styles? You may
want to understand the inheritance, bug 88559 or from a different POV bug
94427. There are many other requests and we recently published a proposal to
improve the situation at
https://design.blog.documentfoundation.org/2019/11/05/proposal-to-conveniently-highlight-and-inspect-styles-in-libreoffice-writer/.
Anyway, the _filter_ for custom styles should integrate into the concept. And
in a hierarchical view it has to be shown, maybe grayed out. But I also
disagree with a special handling. In particular as Default shouldn't be used at
all. It's the mother of all styles and default for text is Text Body (there is
another ticket to change this).
So my take: WF.
