According to this page [1] it should be possible to insert audio or video files
not only as link. Tried with mp3 and wav but no success (not sure it ever
worked). Given that not even Insert > Audio/Video works as expected I would
start there digging into the issue. Eventually, I share the expectation of
using a modifier key.
