Not sure if this is that "self-evident". Yes, I amid missed they Status bar
option. 

However, the Format -> Page (Style) is pretty lucrative position to look (based
on "Word"/WordPad). Or differently said, there is no Menu -> Format equivalent.
And the status bar is not a required menu item to have (similar to the sidebar;
also option

So my opinion there should be a dialog item. Else you fiddle with 'Organizer or
change orientation in the page tab. And that's probably something which
shouldn't be done..
