Hi Telesto,

sure there are way more good looking and missing stuff in LibO Impress. My goal
was not to have all stuff available within LibO galleries.

When I did the gallery stuff rework to goal was:
1. have nice looking stuff
2. you can combine all gallery items
3. you can easy edit the single gallery items
4. show the benefits of LibO

So the result was to define a default grid, so each gallery item can be aranged
and combined. I know the alignment stuff in MSO is cooler, but LibO has also
usefull alignment options. So gallery items can be used with the LibO
alignment.

MSO has a theming support, so a user can use a predefined theme and all
elements will follow this theme. LibO has a good working sidebar with area and
line settings. If you add an gallery item you can select all items and edit
them with area and line settings.

LibO gallery items didn't have one specific theme style, they use very
different styles, to show the uesers what's possible. You can edit each single
gallery item to any specific style. That's one benefit compare to predefined MS
themes where everybody know it's a powerpoint presentation.

All gallery items use LibO Shapes which can than be easy edited by size, aspect
ratio, ...
