Confirmed.

All of the Zoom presets, including 'Optimal', are modal. The zoom setting
should show as selected for the View -> Zoom submenu.

It should at least match the radio button behavior of the 'Zoom...' "Zoom &
View Layout" dialog for the non-variable factors.
