The topic was on the agenda of the design meeting but didn't receive further
input.

The sidebar thumbnails wouldn't be a proper print preview and actually the
workflow is somewhat unclear (who needs to continuously observe what WYSIWYG
aspects are not correctly depicted on the canvas).

But since the impact on UX is low I leave the decision to developers. Guess the
print preview takes a lot resources.
