Thank you Heiko. Yes, the best solution is customizing your toolbars as you
suggested. I guess, what I’m suggesting is that, since Highlighting is a
frequently used function, it should be part of any one of the default toolbars 
in Draw and Impress, just as it is in Writer (by default). Experienced users
can customize their desktop anyway they please, but why make new users suffer?
