We discussed the topic in the design meeting.

The Go-To-Special dialog is a nice shortcut to many typical search operations
such as Blanks, Formulas, References etc. I would name it differently, maybe
"Quick Search", and place the button to start this dialog at the quick find
toolbar.

Could be an interesting GSoC project.
