Steps (on Windows, at least)
1. Open Calc, set Tabbed UI, note toolbar current status, close LO.
2. In OS text scaling, click and hold on slider (if it exists); write down %
value.
3. Set OS text scaling to a much bigger size (max if you can). Apply.
4. Open Calc, note toolbar (home tab) current status, close LO.
5. Set OS text scaling to a much smaller size (min if you can). Apply.
6. Open Calc, note toolbar (home tab) current status, close LO.
7. Set OS text scaling to the value that you wrote down in step 2. Apply.
At some point in the above steps (probably by step 4), the Tabbed toolbar >
Home tab should show "half" of it (the left-most area) only, with part of it
hidden (the right-most area), while there is enough/plenty of space to display
additional icons/sections. The hidden area can be shown by clicking on the
double sideways angled quotation marks / chevron / guillemot symbol on the
right side of the toolbar (which appears when the toolbar doesn't fit the
available space). It can also be displayed by changing the size of the program
window (instead of maximized). The problem: we have to do this again and again.
