The function applies a lot of direct formatting to the paragraph. Instead, you
could use the "Bullet •" list style (check the top-most icon-only buttons in
the Styles tab of the sidebar, or pick it at the "Outline & List" tab of the
paragraph properties dialog).
Most users are probably happy with the indentation, so I agree with WF.
