In your linked essay from 2015 I read: "Unfortunately the category and function
below are not selected accordingly." This exactly is what caused me to post
this bug. In the sentences that follow in your essay the cited one, you show
how cumbersome the workflow is in Customize>Keyboard.

The discussion on 115527 practically fell asleep in 2019. Perhaps because its
scope is so wide: "customization". After 2019, there were only findings of
"duplicates". Interestingly they all refer to the shortcut bindings.

Assigning keyboard shortcuts happens only very seldom. I only took notice of
that when it had been changed without justification in the German UI,
especially breaking the easily to memorize Shortcuts for Headings 1, ... and
Ctrl-F for find.
