Picking some attributes for exposure in the main menu is not a good idea, IMO.
Beside access via sidebar you can always use the dialog to change the border. A
bit awkward admittedly, see bug 143249 with a proposal how to improve, but
possible (Format cells > tab "Borders" > select either a preset or click at the
widget after choosing your preferred width). If you seek for a control besides
sidebar and dialog, it would be a duplicate of bug 141774. Resolving WF, feel
free to reopen when needed.
