A simple option ExcludeFileTypes  in the Config org.openoffice.Office.Histories

Quite frankly the MRU is quite brain dead for people who work with hundreds of
files because a file maybe opened for reference and display an actively edited
file.

MRE - Most Recently Edited - would be far more useful.
