Personally I would not mind if the behavior changes from 

    A   C    D
  ###|    | <foo> |
     |    |       |
to

    A   C    D
  applepie| <foo> |
     |    |       |
Honestly I think I would have avoided such a situation to exist.
If we have no indication of serious problems, I would suggest changing is
useful.
