e.g. ask (somewhere) "[] apply to current page only"
(and then later on fight the trouble of people not understanding why the text
flow in their documents is broken - fatal path..)
Maybe the least bad option is to show a warning when applying a page style via
selecting (Manage Styles or Status Bar)
"mind that <bla bla> see <bla bla>
[] do not show this warning again"
